Like so many other passion projects before it, END CTE began as a personal experience that led to a passion, that became a mission, that skyrocketed to a raging inferno of drive and determination.
As you've read by now, CTE stands for "Chronic Traumatic Encephalopathy"...that's a whole lot of big medical words that breaks down into one simple concept in layman's terms: Too damn many concussions in a lifetime...ultimately causing brain damage.
Everyone has either been affected by, or knows someone who has been affected by, concussions ranging from contact sports, falls, bumped heads, or worst of all...physical abuse (specifically, hits to the head).
Falling down and hitting your head or standing up/bending over and bumping your head are going to happen during your life, and those reasons fall under the category of "(Un)avoidable Accidents", but the mission of END CTE is putting a stop to the category of "Preventable Injuries"...from transmuting Full Contact sports into No Contact (or Incidental Contact) sports, to putting an absolute end, once-and-for-all, to domestic and child abuse, and beyond.
